Digital Game Based Learning and Gamification, both of them are educational approaches to motivate students to learn, either through using video game design and/ or applying game elements in learning environments. Even though these approaches differs from each other, they both share the same goal which is to maximise students’ engagement in classroom and to inspire them to continue learning.

Description
- In this course, participants will learn the basic principals of game based learning and gamification in a classroom environment. More specifically, this course focuses on these approaches on a digital context. The aim is to provide participant tools to establish the connection between game elements, mechanics, components and dynamics, of digital game based learning and gamification.
- This is a training that equips the participants with digital examples on how games and gamification can be used in education while engaging in activities related to the appropriate application of game based learning and gamification design. While the participants learn the concept of gamification and the elements surrounding it, they will have an opportunity to apply what they have learned through various activities.
- By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of how to harness the principles of game design and technology to enhance learning and engagement, making them well-equipped to apply these concepts in educational and professional settings.
