Training the next generation of eTwinning teachers: European award 2024
The award celebrates excellence in ITE by recognising institutions that have made outstanding contributions to the ‘eTwinning for future teachers’ initiative.
The following institutions have been nominated for the award in 2024:
- University College of Teacher Education Styria, Austria
- Howest University of Applied Sciences, Belgium (Dutch-speaking community)
- ‘Angel Kanchev’ University of Ruse, Bulgaria
- Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, Croatia
- INSPE de l'académie d'Amiens, France
- Professional School of Education PSE Stuttgart, Germany
- Department of Educational and Social Policy, University of Macedonia, Greece
- Apor Vilmos Catholic College, Hungary
- Università Milano Cattolica, Italy
- Faculty of Biology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland
- University of Žilina, Slovakia
- Faculty of Education in Albacete, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain
- Department of Social and Behavioural Studies, University West, Sweden.
These institutions have all shown exceptional commitment, curriculum integration, project implementation and research capacity in eTwinning. They are doing excellent work in training the next generation of eTwinning teachers. This European award recognises their work in fostering a supportive and enriching environment for future teachers, giving them the necessary skills to succeed in eTwinning.
The overall winner will be revealed and awarded during the European conference for initial teacher education, taking place on 28–30 November in Budapest. The conference, entitled ‘Fostering citizenship education and European values through eTwinning for future teachers’, will bring together teacher educators, experts and academics to share insights, best practices and experiences.
