Building youth voice: a toolkit for developing participatory budgeting in schools and in the community

As part of the "Youth PB Accelerator" project (Erasmus +), the SocLab Foundation, together with a group of partners from Poland, Spain and the UK, has prepared publications for those interested in youth and school participatory budgets.

This guide provides practical advice, that could be described as a toolkit, for involving young people in participatory budgeting processes. Participatory budgets (PAs) have existed for several decades and have been used in many different contexts, allowing citizens to have a greater say in decisions about how public money is spent. The toolkit is based on an extensive collection of case studies on school and youth participatory budgets in Europe and the United States, as well as drawing on other materials on the project website.
