Learning objectives
- Gain basic knowledge about the theory and methodology of outdoor educational pedagogy and experiential learning
- Acquire skills to implement more experience-based learning to enrich their everyday teaching practice and increase students’ motivation
- Learn how to design and carry out experiential and active learning activities in outdoor settings
- Discover innovative ways to use games, drama, and improvisation techniques to promote “learning by doing”
- Broaden their understanding of how outdoor education contributes to personal development and social skills of learners
- Identify the ways to use outdoor education to teach about environmental issues
- Develop risk assessment and apply safety measures outdoors
Methodology & assessment
Evaluation format:
Continuous assessment - continuous observation of participant’s activity
Evaluation criteria:
Preparation, level of engagement in class, listening, questioning and discussing, problem-solving, group/partner teamwork
Evaluation procedures:
The evaluation will take place in the hosting organization and will be conducted
by teacher trainers at the end of the course.
Recognition conditions:
At least 80% course attendance
