During the course, participants will understand the mechanisms of early school leaving and how to prevent this phenomenon. Daily Programme: Day 1- Participants arrival- Individual orientation and information about the venue and the city- Networking activities                                                             - Course introduction- Reviewing the mechanisms behind the behavior of early school leavers- Contextualising ESL : an analytical framework for understanding educational exclusions Day 2 -Building a caring school community and foster a sense of belonging among students-Capturing the voice of early school leavers-Strategies to identify students who are mostly at risk at an early stage with methods to increase           the effectiveness of counseling-Strengthen dialogue and collaboration  between the various actors and local stakeholdersDay 3-Increasing physical and mental engagement and reducing social isolation / negative mood or feelings to address boredom in the classroom-Implementing spontaneous, creative and cooperating activities adapted to the level of all students-Fostering positive leadership with collaboration taking different personalities and capabilities of students into account-Promoting competences and a classroom model based on collaborative teaching and learningDay 4- Assessing students to promote success : achievement is more than a test score- Strengthening dialogue and collaboration  between the various actors and local stakeholders- Preventing school violence and addressing school safety- Owners not renters : empowering students to find their way along their educational journeyDay 5- Space for discussion of future cooperation and planning follow up activities- Course roundup and final evaluation- Validation of learning outcomes and certification ceremony- Cultural activities or additional guided visit to Paris- Participants departure Registration Form
