We are a modern school teaching roughly 700 students from the age of 10 to 19 who mainly live in the wider area of Northern Lippe in the federal state of North Rhine - Westfalia. The staff consists of around 70 teachers and additional personnel. Despite the rather rural setting, the school‘s buildings have just been modernised to provide a good learning atmosphere and state-of-the-art teaching technology.
We are the first grammar school in our area to have been awarded the official status of „European School“ by the state administration. This status is connected to a variety of Europe-centered possibilities we offer students, e.g. bilingual classes in German and English, participation in European language certificates like DELF or the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English and a range of regular student exchange trips with partner schools in various European countries like Spain, Poland or the Netherlands. We have also recently been accredited as „Erasmus+ School“ by the EU which will further facilitate our international connections.
In addition to that we are certified as „Future School“, which recognises our strong efforts towards teaching students about sustainability in lessons, school activities and beyond. Moreover, in recognition of the possibilities we offer students to facilitate digital education, we have been awarded the status of „Digital School“ by the state administration.
