Maria O' DONOVAN

Ambassador
I am an art teacher and visual artist that aims to develop critical and creative thinking skills alongside a strong and positive arts ethic while promoting social inclusion in the post primary environment. eTwinning projects have helped me to do this and I am now an ambassador for eTwinning in Ireland. I also work as a Learning Support Tutor part time at Limerick Institute of Technology. A Current a PhD candidate at Limerick School of Art and Design LIT, I graduated with a Masters of Arts (Honours) in Arts and Heritage Management at Waterford Institute of Technology in 2016. Previously I graduated from The Crawford College of Art and Design at C.I.T. in 2010 with a Higher Diploma (Honours) in Art and Design Education, and previously to this from the Limerick School of Art and Design in 2007 with a B.A. Degree (Honours) in Fine Art - Sculpture, and in 2006 with a B.A. (Honours) Degree in Art. As a practicing visual artist I am committed to developing my own practice, creating strong and positive arts ethics and promoting social inclusion. I have exhibited work both nationally and internationally and have worked on a number of commissions and art projects to date. Many of these commissions have been within schools and learner orientated environments.
