« International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. »From www.UN.org We have decided to pursue action in favour of women by enabling classes from different European countries to study women and men defending gender equality and then create a challenging activity to present their work. Using English for communication is the key to effective language learning and the only common langage for all participants. So in this project, all students (learning English as a second langage) will learn about the roles of famous men and women supporting gender equality, mostly people from English-speaking countries, and also one person from their country. Then they will have to organize a challenging activity for their European partners to present their work.
