Vienna's Calling: Exploring European Values and Citizenship

The "Vienna's Calling: Exploring European Values and Citizenship" project will be implemented from September 2024 to May 2025, and primary and secondary school students (ages 8 to 18) will participate in the project. The central goal of the project is to familiarize students with the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Vienna and explore the concept of common European values ​​and citizenship. In project activities, students will learn the basics of the German language, learn about the characteristics of traditional Viennese gastronomy and sights of Vienna, discuss the European values ​​they share and develop their sense of belonging to Europe and possible personal contribution to the European future. Students will develop communication skills in their mother tongue and English, digital skills and an interest in culture and art. Through project activities, students will create a multilingual picture dictionary, they will record videos of the preparation of traditional Austrian dishes, they will create a calendar with photos of Vienna and artistic images with Viennese motifs using virtual museums as a source, they will create a digital game on the topic of Viennese and Austrian culture. Students will develop creativity and teamwork skills. In one partner school, student participation in the project will be part of the cultural preparation for mobility to Vienna in April 2025 as part of the Erasmus project.
