A Hopeful, Healthy & Happy Living & Learning Toolkit: Activity Guide

The COVID-19 pandemic made life very difficult for families and school communities across the globe especially affecting the psychosocial well-being of children and their families. The Activity Guide was prepared to offer fun activities for children which revolve around key social and emotional skills.

The experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted children in different ways at different ages, and their psychosocial well-being needs support. The Activity Guide features fun activities for children at home, in school or remotely, and these are designed to engage with children in social and emotional learning around self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and decision-making. Each of these skills has relevance to life in general, but is also key to supporting health, happiness and hopefulness for children during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

The Activity Guide is part of A Hopeful, Healthy & Happy Living & Learning Toolkit that also includes a Guide for Teachers and a Parent-Caregiver Guide.

The toolkit was developed by REPSSI, APSSI, and the IFRC Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support (PS Centre) with support from MHPSS.net and funding from Education Cannot Wait.
