Student wellbeing and learning for sustainability

This NESET report, which focuses on primary and secondary education, outlines the concepts and agendas for wellbeing and learning for sustainability.
NESET report cover Student wellbeing and learning for sustainability

The report introduces these concepts by covering their theoretical and political contexts. It outlines four synergies between the concepts, and details each one:

  1. Becoming aware of the mind-body connection.
  2. Strengthening nature-connectedness.
  3. Facing and dealing with (difficult) emotions.
  4. Fostering happiness and resilience.

Additionally, the report provides selected inspiring examples of schools, projects and learning environments in which (some of) these synergies have been put into place. It concludes with directions for future research and cautions for policy advancement.
