These eTwinning kits can serve as step-by-step guides for successful projects on our new annual theme ‘Citizenship education: celebrating what unites us’.

These new eTwinning kits offer ideas for your future projects for all levels of education, from pre-primary up to initial vocational education and training.

Our new planet: learning about citizenship

For ages: 5–6 years

This project kit is designed to help develop citizenship skills and collaboration between pupils in early childhood education and care (ECEC) by creating a shared understanding of values, teamwork and community. Through a series of activities, children can explore what it means to be a good citizen and work together in designing a new planet for an imaginary alien. This project kit encourages pupils to think about their personal values, collaborate and develop a sense of responsibility and empathy.

Equality explorers

For ages: 7–11 years

This project kit demonstrates how to deepen pupils’ understanding of gender equality through a series of engaging and collaborative activities. Pupils can create presentations about role models, outdated job titles and the history of gender equality, which will be compiled in a collaborative book. The activities aim to promote critical thinking about gender roles and encourage a more inclusive mindset among pupils.

Digital citizenship gallery

For ages: 12–15 years

This project kit gives ideas on how to help secondary school pupils become responsible digital citizens. It uses interactive activities such as discussions, quizzes and concept maps, which help pupils develop strong digital literacy skills. They can collaborate internationally to complete tasks, create virtual galleries and maintain learning journals. The project concludes with an art afternoon, during which pupils showcase their work to the school community and local experts.

Vocational skills with purpose: embedding European values

For ages: 15–20 years

This project kit shows how to integrate European values into vocational subjects, helping develop both technical skills and civic awareness in learners. Through interactive activities, learners explore the connections between their vocational studies and fundamental European values. At the end of the project, pupils can show their work, showcasing what they've learnt and their understanding of these European values.
